Break in the Montville standoff
There could be a break in the standoff between the State Department of Agriculture and the Town of Montville over the town's ban on the planting of biotech-enhanced crops (GMOs). Commissioner Seth Bradstreet, III, who said the town's ordinance is "invalid" is seeking to meet with town officials. Town officials, who have written Bradstreet claiming they have "enacted a valid municipal ordinance," seem receptive to a meeting. Read the full story on the Maine BioBlog.
